If you are left-handed, you have probably had problems using a mouse on Windows laptops or PCs. While Windows 11 can detect a connection and setup a mouse automatically, it does so by default for right-handed users, which means the left click will be configured as the main key.
If you are left-handed and prefer to work with a mouse, you should probably switch sides. Fortunately, Windows 11 allows users to adjust this setting and configure the mouse for persons who are left-handed.
You can use the Settings app and Control panel to change the mouse settings to configure the mouse for left-handed usage. Here’s our step-by-step guide:
- Open the Settings App on your PC or Laptop
- Click on Bluetooth & devices
- Now, click on the Mouse page on the right side
- Click on the drop-down on the Primary Mouse button and choose Right
When you selected, your primary mouse button will change to the right, and you can begin operating the mouse with your left hand.
The same thing may be done with the traditional Control Panel. Click on Mouse in the Devices and Printers section of your device’s Control Panel. A new window will open; here, select the ‘Switch primary and secondary buttons’ option.
